Difficulty at the Beginning
Ordering
I Ching · Archetypal Polarity
The fertile chaos at the birth of every new endeavor, carrying the pressure to establish order from formlessness. Surrendering to the process rather than forcing outcomes allows true innovation to emerge organically.
The shadow is the frustration of thwarted pacing — trying to rush the seed into a tree, or abandoning the new because the initial friction feels too uncomfortable.
The overwhelming confusion at the beginning of any new cycle. Premature action or frozen paralysis prevents the new order from organising itself.
When you surrender to chaos instead of fighting it, genuinely new forms emerge. True innovation is born from the willingness to not know.
A return to pristine awareness before conditioning — the child-mind that meets each moment as if for the first time, without agenda.

The Judgment
