"Celebrating the body"
The parade of beauty before a crowd represents the ancient human practice of celebrating physical form. This display is both entertainment and ritual — a communal acknowledgment of the body's grace that serves as counterweight to cultures that deny or demonise physicality.
Left unexamined, public display weaponised against the self or others — where what should heal instead wounds through excess.
