What do the lines across the chart wheel mean?
An aspect is the angle between two placements, measured around the 360° wheel. Certain angles are treated as significant, and the lines drawn across your chart are exactly those.
The major aspects are conjunction (0°), sextile (60°), square (90°), trine (120°), inconjunct (150°), and opposition (180°). Conjunction fuses two drives, opposition sets them facing each other, square catches them at cross purposes, trine and sextile let them cooperate.
Aspects rarely land perfectly, so each is allowed a margin called the orb. Cosmic Color Co allows up to 8° for conjunctions and oppositions, 7° for squares and trines, 5° for sextiles, and only 2° for the inconjunct. The tighter the orb, the louder the aspect.
Trines and sextiles describe what comes fluently, which also means what you can take for granted. Squares and oppositions describe friction, and friction is where the attention goes and most of the growth happens.
Three or more aspects can lock into a shape with a character of its own. Cosmic Color Co detects grand trines, T-squares, yods, and grand crosses in your chart and marks them on your wheel.
